WHO WE ARE

The Border Terrier Club of America Health and Scholarship Foundation will support advancements in Border Terrier health and further education through research, health testing and scholarships. Several years in the works, the Foundation has grown rapidly. Some goals are to increase scholarship amounts or the number of awards, offer free  or reduced costs of health testing to members, and submit proposals for funds to further the purposes of the BTCA. Here at Border Terrier Club of America Health and Scholarship Foundation, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2013, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.

WHY DONATE TO THE BTCA HEALTH AND SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION?

The Border Terrier Club of America Health and Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3, so all donations are tax deductible.  The Foundation supports the annual health clinics at the specialty to help members by bringing the costs down.  As health funds grow it will be able to support research promoting the health of Border Terriers

The second part of the Foundation is to encourage our juniors in their pursuit of higher education.  Since 2013, with the formation of the 501c3, the Foundation has awarded more than 30 scholarships to deserving juniors.  So 100% of donations go to very worthy causes.

SCHOLARSHIP

Looking to the Future

BTCA Foundation scholarship is intended to fund an outstanding undergraduate student who has already demonstrated a passion for pure-bred dogs, especially Borders.

The scholarship will support a student in any degree program at an accredited community or junior college, college or university.

Applications will be reviewed by the BTCA Scholarship Committee, and each recipient approved by the BTCA Board.

The Scholarship Committee will work with all BTCA members, regional clubs and other supporters to raise funds for the Scholarship.

Funds will come from donations, auctions, raffles, and Border Terrier-themed items for sale.  Watch for these opportunities.
