The BTCA Health and Scholarship Foundation thanks everyone who donates to help our little brown dogs. The Foundation began operations in 2013 and is run by volunteer members of the BTCA. Your donated funds go directly to health programs for the dogs, scholarships for those interested in the breed, and out of pocket expenses including government filing fees. We also purchase microchips in bulk from AKC that are resold to BTCA members.
We continue to review our programs and welcome suggestions, questions and donations! In 2019 the Foundation paid $2,250 in scholarships for three students. We also spent over $7,400 to defer 97% of the cost of Cardio and Eye Health Clinics at the National Specialty. We also have fundraisers. Our Donors were generous, contributing over $29,000. As a result, we have a reserve and look to expand our programs.
